National Conclave on Managing Corporate Security in a Globalised World: Strategies and Risk Mitigation Protocols
The emerging Indian corporate of today – both from the public and private sector – is one with transnational interests. Moving away from the traditional saturated markets, Indian companies are increasingly expanding their businesses to other countries. Apart from the front-end sales and marketing elements, this also includes strategic investments in remote locations to ensure uninterrupted sourcing of raw materials. However, these globally volatile times come with myriad security threats. Challenges to business objectives are no longer one dimensional. These threats emanate from multiple, well organized sources focusing on subverting intellectual property rights, disrupting financial transactions, infiltrating information technology networks and security systems; and in other cases, kidnapping and destructing of physical assets. Additionally, constant political uncertainty only adds a further disruptive dimension. In this uncertain world of complex challenges to meeting strategic business goals, new specialized solutions are the order of the day.
The corporate environment of today and the future is one of managers who are proactively empowered to deal with this world of multifaceted challenges to their business goals and objectives. Strategic business continuity planning frameworks today require risk mitigation paradigms which factor in these dynamic elements of high unpredictability and uncertainty.
